Be more animated with your social posts. Using the new GIPHY integration in Publish, you can now select from over 1 billion GIFs to include in your social posts.
How to use GIFs?
Inside your post composer in Publish, simply click on the GIF icon, and using the search bar type the animation you want to use. Select your GIF and see it appear in your post preview.

Mention’s review sites module is new and improved. You can now select from dozens of review websites relevant to industries such as restaurants, retail, tech, health & wellness, real-estate, automative, education and more.
Online reviews are the biggest source of social proof today and an essential part of the decision-making process of many customers. Start adding review sites to your alerts and collect customer reviews all in one place.
You can edit any of your existing alerts and see the full list of available websites. Simply add the URL you want to monitor and save changes.

Ensuring our features' names are intuitive and reflect their current functionality impacts how you use them. Changes to previous feature names have been made so you can make the most out of your social listening experience.
Below are the previous and new feature names that have been updated. The functionality of each feature has not changed, just the name you will see in Mention.
What do all these features do and how can you use them?
Tag Settings: Tags allow you to categorize your mentions, similar to subfolders. In Tag Settings you can edit your automated Tags. Learn more about the benefits of Tag Settings.
Saved Filter: allow you easily save and apply the same filtering choices to an Alert. Learn more about the benefits of Saved Filters.
Trending Hashtag: within the Top Hashtags module, Mention will also display the 🔥 emoji to your Trending Hashtags. These are new hashtags that appear on the social media page you are monitoring with your analytics report. Learn more about how Trending Hashtags work.
Mention Spike: these are your mention notifications, that can be set up by email and SMS. They notify you when there is an important increase or very important increase in an Alert’s activity. Learn more about how to set up Mention Spike.
My Influencer Lists: A ranking of influential profiles are available based on the Alerts you’ve created. You can add influencers directly from the Influencer Table to a My Influencer List.

Our data science team has improved the way sentiment is tracked with an industry leading Deep Learning model. This will ensure you’re gathering the most accurate positive and negative mentions.
What does this mean for your Alerts?
The Sentiment Analysis algorithm change will be in effect on July 1, 2021.

We're giving you the ability to control your mentions usage. You can now directly pause and resume any alert directly from each alert setting. Pausing an alert will temporarily stop any mention fetching until you decide to resume it.
If you want to archive data from an alert without fetching mentions, or perhaps monitor a specific topic periodically -- then this feature is for you.
Note: As mentions are not fetched while your alert is paused, you will not be able to retrieve those mentions later on. Make sure you are ok with not getting data during paused periods before using this feature.

New sources have arrived to Mention! Tik Tok, Pinterest, and YouTube monitoring have been added to our growing list of sources. We hope these new sources will enhance your monitoring needs across some of the web’s most popular platforms!

TikTok: Mention will match your search query for the description of TikToks and allow you to view the TikTok videos directly in your feed!
Pinterest: Mention will match your search query for the title or description of a pin. You will be able to view the pin with the description in your Mention Feed. We will also fetch URLs from websites that use the pin in their original post.
YouTube: Mention will monitor the titles and description of videos when they match your search query. You will be able to view the videos directly on the Mention Feed!
NOTE: The new sources are an add-on feature to Company Plan users. If you are interested in adding these sources to your monitoring inventory, please reach out to your Account Manager.
